Morning

The meet is planned for 8th June (this Sunday). We will be meeting up at the glorious Canary Wharf Station between 11am to 12pm at the latest.

Over the course of the day, we will be aiming to head towards Greenwich Park/Thames Barrier area and capture the sights of SE London.

You can have a look at the people confirmed coming (unless they are not on Facebook) on the Facebook group found on post #1 of this topic.

If you do wish to join us later, do give me a call on 07708751148 and just find out where the group is.

Mitesh

sorry about the late reply. I'l try to join you lads. that is my territory and I should be able to spot you going around. If not ....I got your number and I hope you don't mind if I give you a call at some point on sunday. in my experience canary wharf is a tricky area and we'll be thrown out quickly. keep your tripods discreetly folded :)
just got a facebook face???? will add my self there

That looks ok to me Brett.

Does anyone know if taking my camera to the Kent County Cricket ground for todays match against Somerset will be ok? There's nothing I can find on the website to say otherwise.

Looks like the SE Thread commemorative meet-up t-shirt image right there!

Also, maybe it should replace the facebook POTN SE group picture...

Thats a pretty decent shot Brett. I was down the dogs in Wimbledon a few months back and found them difficult to track. I would have have liked to have cuaght them on the corners but barriers were in the way.

Never mind, the match has been cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch!

Just thought I'd post the weekend tube closures for everyone planning on coming. Doesn't look like it'll affect any of our plans (?), but good to know in case you need to change travel plans.

I think that shot turned out pretty well Brett. I've had plans to head up to the track in walthamstow for ages but haven't ever gotten around to it. Sounds like a fun day out though!

Brett thats awesome. I would have missed that or ended up with a major OOF pic.

Lines seem ok, my main worry is weather. All the sites are constantly changing. Suppose we can only wait till closer to the date. :)

You made me panic for a minute there. When I saw that map showing the lines that are closed I couldn't help thinking 'Great, here we go again, good old British public transport cocks up more of my plans!'.

I need to use the Jubilee line to get there, and we would need to use the DLR to get to the Thames Barrier. Both of those are closed according to that map.
Luckily, on closer inspection at the TFL site, it turns out that the Jubilee line is only closed on Saturday and the DLR closure is only up until 10 AM on Sunday.
Fingers crossed that they actually get it running by that time.

No sense and unfortunately not enough money.

Sweet! In that case, I might go get my film developed, go get some meds and pack me bag. :)
