Um.. No.. The 1.4x tends to slow down the already partly sluggish AF on the 1-4. This was the only really acceptable BIF shot of the afternoon.

My own fault for not getting the shutterspeed high enough. Should have been at least 1/500 or 1/1000 to be any good.

I'll know better next time.

QUOTED IMAGE

.... sometimes... ;)

I still see BIF and giggle. I keep thinking a nice twist to that would be the mile high club

I can't falter a lens I have never used, its just the price that kills me from even trying. :o

Lovely shot and I think the composition works in that pic.

Today I got 'stop and search'ed (though they never bother to search) for the fourth time so far this year! Although I think with shooting the MI5 building I can understand it this time.

we would need to use the DLR to get to the Thames Barrier.

So you are going to the north bank side then? With things heading from Canary Wharf to Greenwich I would have assumed that you would be sticking to the south bank, either getting a bus or train from Greenwich to Charlton?

Michael.

Comments, bribes, criticism, bribes, irrelevant anecdotes, and bribes always welcome.
EXIF is available inside all my photos, though bribes are still recommended anyway.

Sadly no actions, all manual mucking about. I should head off, never having sushi/seafood again!

lol, that sucks about the stop & (non-)search. Hope they were nice at least.

I don't really know the area at all, so I was happy to just go with the flow. I think that's the second post you've made with detailed directions, so I think we've got our "tour guide" sorted out if nothing else ;)

Finally some decent weather. Visited the London Aquarium with the gf. My first time there, and although it wasn't breathtaking it was interesting enough.

Shooting fish in a barrel REALLY isn't as easy as they make it out to be...
