He sends special delivery so should be with ya tomorrow. Very nice buy.

Yeah I can't wait to get it. After everything thats gone wrong recently with buying a flat, I needed something to cheer me up. Looking forward to giving it a good run out on Sunday at the meet. :D

No sense and unfortunately not enough money.

Quick question - is a hard or soft edge on an ND Grad filter better?

michaelgreen78 wrote in post #5666157 (external link)
Hmmm...I guess I'll go for the soft one for now...all this talk of filters has made me buy some on ebay. Off to Provence for 2 weeks at the end of next week so it'll come in useful for that.

Any suggestions for other useful filters?

I agree with Mitesh that the soft filters will be more flexible and so used more often.

I would recommend some ND filters and leave out the coloured ones. Photoshop has a "Photo Filter" adjustment layer so use that instead :-)

A link in my signature has loads of info on GND's and ND's, with useful posts from other members.

Just ordered my filters - ND8 Grad, ND8, 4x close up (for a laugh!) normal & wideangle holders and 3 different adapters for my lenses. Hopefully they should be here by the beginning of next week.

Nice one, where did you order these from? I might just settle for the ND4 Grad for now. Oh the choices. :(

Incidentally, here are some shots from today. Felt like a bit more "lomo" style on some of them. The usual places from me. :)

All from ebay - 3 or 4 different uk sellers.

Cool shots - the second one is pretty neat.

Well yeah but it was very mild. Its prob on par to a ND2 but the vignetting on the bottom left and top right were due to the holder so I did some lomo style processing to really boost them and work in my favour. :)

Thanks, im really interested and impressed by lomo work and how your usual failures are actually considered keepers.

I would like to try some more but I think we will have to wait for Sunday now :)
