Mmm I've had second thoughts too ... although it's cool to save, it's equally cool knowing your money is being spent maintaining one of London's top wildlife reserves .... :)

Hmmm ...

PS. I'm off to bed now too ;)

IIRC, didn't Anke just take his iphone back? I'm amazed you don't have a mobile Anke! I would be totally lost without mine... like a naked.... something.:)

Yup, I tried out an iPhone 3G for about a week and hated it. The actual product was beautiful but having a phone on me was just unbearable. I wouldn't have a house phone if I could get away with it. e-mail is just so much easier.

Seen plenty of kingfishers in NZ.. But that was at my old house in the bush

Miss that place - 4 split level house - the marker is the front section - and the house is further back from the road, down a 30 degree sloped driveway!

Very close to the rugged west coast beaches too

And Anawhata nearby

Miss these beaches.. I'll be spending endless days there next summer (Jan-April 2009) ;)

Forgot to mention, nice studio work David!
Nice to see you have filters on all your lens.

I had a filter on my 17-40 the day I bought it.. But that lasted a week.

I also then used a 77mm filter on my 24-105.. I left that on a Qantas 747 at Sydney! I had taken some photos against the window, until I realised the serrated edge was scratching the window. - So took it off and left it on the seat

Mitesh - Pick up a radiator?? Is that some insulting term for a type of public transport? :p

Brett - We'll hang around until 11 and you can reach me on my mobile if you get there a bit late :)

Cheers :D

Well Scuff and I are here :) Unfortunately Scuff's 1DM3 and 500 F4 took a tumble and now the camera is refusing to turn on now :-o :-o :-o :( Any suggestions? He's still got his 1DM2s as a backup but still :(
Hope everything else stop smoothly today :-S

David :)

Amazing shots! I went more for the natury stuff than the aminals. Bit backwards I know

Ergh the 500mm was so big and heavy for me, it was damn hard for me to use it. I have a new respect for these lenses. It is not as easy as it looks!

I did try the Sigma 120-300 2.8 for most of the afternoon and my arms, wrists are not in good shape.

David and I stacked 2x TC's for some funny results. Ah, will need to start some sample shots soon too. First a bit of rest.

Heres one from me phone

David's 40D with the Canon100-400L
My 5D with Swaff's Sigma 120-300 2.8
Swaff's 1D with his 400 2.8L
