Nice. Do share pics once done. :)

I just got an email that the Sony Alpha manager is coming to the office on Sept 17th (same the day Canon make an announcement)

Hopefully brings some goodies for me to faf around with. :D

Is that an official announcement date Mitesh from Canon, or just about photokina?

Brett, I'll have a look later, but a quick glance show just too much text everywhere, I wouldn't know where to start.

I've been considering this on my site and am planning a design like this:

Got a whole load of CSS to learn as I'm going along!

From reports on here, its still something floating in the air. We really wont know till the 17th.

Back in April, people said the new 5D was going to be out. False again. We will have to wait and see again...:(

Yeah, I am sure if they are not going to update the 5D, they must bring something out to replace it to fill that hole in the line up, though I bet anything announced will not be available much before xmas

Rather frustrating not knowing what they are going to offer

Im not too fussed. There are plently of options on the market right now and I get what I want when I need it, I don't like waiting. My job is not on the line if a better body comes out and my hobby is not less enjoyable either way.

Still very interested to see what becomes available. Possible a 3D

You know it would not surprise me if they did not bring out something completely different, an empty body that you can buy digital backs for, and then add it to suit what you are shooting, there was talk a while back about it from Canon, so FF, 1.6 crop, even a MF Digital back.

Woohoo, I just got another request for a wedding reception in late Nov. Might be asking someone if they want to be a co-shooter. Will update once I have more info.

Nice one, congrats! :)

Cheers guys. Ed, I have got you and Elliot in mind already. I just need to get confirmation and confirmed dates before I send contracts out.

From the Warehouse Express (external link) website...

The Sony Alpha a900 is a beautifully crafted digital SLR...

I'm sorry, I just had to laugh... It's the ugliest SLR camera I have EVER seen! Just look at the vertical grip! wtf!?!

The pentaprism section threw me off. They need a new design team.

Mind you, Canon's are not really that much better. Then again, its just a grip. If it gets the job done, thats all that would matter to me.

The Alpha series I highly doubt will entice many Canon shooters, more for Konica Minolta users.
