I meant to post this right after it was taken but I forgot about it until now. I had no idea that such a creature existed but had been told we had two living in our backyard and that they occasionally came out early in the morning and that was it. Well I was playing around with my 70-200 f/2.8L IS in the backyard one later afternoon and turned around only to catch this guy staring right at me! I was able to get three shots off and this one was the only one worth keeping.

What do you guys think? Sorry image is kinda small, thats all I have uploaded to link to at the moment.

That's an interesting squirrel.. It's got black eges so it's not an albino.
You say that their are two of them... You should get some more shots of them.
Good capture.

Nice shot! We've had them in the past at our local park. One year I counted 8 different ones, then 3 or 4 the next. This year I haven't seen any (none were complete albino). Keep an eye on them!

I've heard of them before but never seen them personally except in photos . Yeah , true albinos have red eyes but they are very sensitive so doubt they are out when the sun is too bright unless they are in a well wooded area with lots of dark coverage . Great capture tho !
