cos if not, woops - but if it is (and at the risk of generating the wrath of other users) ;-)a since the wedding forum has been broken down into more manageable chunks... how about doing that to the nature and animals forum?

suggested categories:

  • plants, trees, fungi & flowers - "all flora"
  • animals: "all fauna except birds" incl bugs mammals reptiles sea life and everything in between
  • and "other nature" for nature shots which are hard to categorise: like waves, rainbows, astronomy, etc (things which aren't actually "landscapes")
i think considering there are 2 separate categories for sport and 4 for people (well 6 if you include the sport ones) that a couple more for nature would make the forum easier to browse

haha here we go. The wedding forum wasnt separated into more manageable chunks, a photo sharing section was made and then all other comments went to the other sections of POTN. Also if they split nature up the glamour shooters are going to say "hey since you split up the nature and animal section can you split up glamour and nude so i dont have to go through a ton of nude shots?" and panorama shooters are gonna say "Hey i only want to look at panoramas, can you make a section for just panoramas so i dont have to look through a ton of B&W shots?". If thats how it goes there would be a million sections. Its fine how it is now. Nature and animals generally go well together.

And they're all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same.

I like the one big category because it lets me click on subjects that I wouldn't normally even consider looking into. It broadens the mind :D

Nature and animals are more different than nature and landscapes ("Nature, Travel & Landscapes" would have been a more sensible forum than "Nature and Animals". So yes, it makes sense to have two separate forums.
