As we age, this type of query become more and more difficult. And as we query diffrent age groups the answers will differ so much.

As a lifelong amateur musician I appreciate so much music, be it today's top-40 or yesterday's top-10.

My number one:

Revolver - The Beatles

My fave list is very, very, very long from Hendrix to Linda Ronstadt, to Counting Crows to almost anything except violent rap.

Hi JP again, can you enlighten me a bit.

Been hearing about Miles Davis a lot. Can you recommend an album of his. And while we are at it, can you recommend an album of Billie Holiday too. I'm dying to hear these guys.

Emerson, Lake, and Palmer - Tarkus
or maybe
ELP - Welcome Back My Friends

But that's not a fair question. Pick ONE favorite?

See, I had to go back and pick another, with the thought of being stuck on a deserted island with only 1 album - I had to pick a 3-disc set.

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

Wow! So many choices, so little space...

On any given day, it could be one of the following -

Hendrix - anything, but if I have to pick one - Electric Ladyland
Beatles - same thing, but I'll take - Rubber Soul
Frank Zappa - Overnight Sensation or Just Another Band From L.A.
Steely Dan - Take your pick up to and including Gaucho
The Who - anything - first pick - The Who By Numbers
Leon Russell - Carney
Joe Jackson - Night & Day
Loggins and Messina - anything they published
Blood, Sweat & Tears - Child Is Father To The Man
Jeff Beck - The Jeff Beck Group (The 'Orange' Album)

Music sets my mood - sometimes I want to be fired up and sometimes I want to tranq out.

Have Fun,

Rick
