Bought this lens 10 minutes ago... my hands are still shaking from when I signed my name on the purchase papers. 30% from excitement, 70% from how mortified I was to be spending this much money on a lens! My girlfriend will never know how much it cost...!

If this is the first one it will get easier on each sucessive purchase. Believe me when I first started I said that there was absolutely no freaking way I was going to pay That Much for a single lens... Look at me now... Imagine how hard it was to hit the order button on a 500L and that was only the beginning I then had to order all of the accessories for it which were only another $2k.

It truly is an addiction but for good reason, I don't think you will be disappointed at all.

And remember, if anything bad should happen and you need some cash . . . you can sell these things pretty quickly and easily for minimum 80-85% of what you bought 'em for.

Would anyone using a 1D mkII post a few shots at 16mm? I would like to see how wide it is on a 1.3 crop. Thanks in advance.

Matt

It's nice to flex my landscape creativity once in a while, it makes for a welcome break from shooting barbies and cake.

@bensherman2 While the sensors are different between the Mark II & Mark III they are both APS-H (1.3)

Caught in Vegas without a tripod or monopod....nothing extraordinary, but I thought the lens helped me salvage a lot of usable shots under the conditions...
