How can shortened or even eliminate long elapse time when doing long/time exposure. Camera Canon 5D. If this can be done, will it increase the noise?

If you have long exposure noise reduction turned on, the camera will take as long to process the shot as it does to take it. Turning it off will increase noise, but if you make a blank exposure of the same duration you can mask it against the original exposure in PP to get much the same result.

I plan to shoot Fireworks.

Just a couple of samples. I was tickled to see that they came out as well as they did. They were taken hand held from our 20' boat in Lake Michigan.

It was fun! Best of luck.
