Nice looking shots!

They have a quality to them that makes them look like paintings rather then photographs. I'm not sure if that's what you were going after but they do look good, at least to my eye.

Of the three shots, the last one is the only one that has a hint of HDR processing to it though if you hadn't mentioned using it, I wouldn't have suspected it...I'm no expert though.

Cheers!

They DO look like paintings, but are absolutely beautiful images. Now I gotta go out and try this!!! Just one more thing to learn. ;)

p.s. - what, btw, is tonemapping??

I think all three are fantastic. I can certainly tell that the truck shots are HDR, but it's subtle enough to add interest without being gaudy. Nice! Plus, you've inspired me to do some holiday light shots.

I really like the first one. Can you provide any details on how you did it? How many exposures, any tips on tone mapping?? Mine don't look nearly as good as that.

Hey guys, thanks for all the responces. as far a progams, i am using photomatix to do the merging and tone mapping and then photoshop for curves and some other minor adjustments. As far as tips on tone mapping all i can say is mess around with it A TON! it took me a long time to halfway understand what was happening when i would adjust certain things in photomatix, and there tutorial isn't too much help. All of these shots are 3 exposures +2 0 -2 and one other tip that helped me out was getting the right subject matter. i tried to do some indoor shots when i first got the program and was getting very frazled. then went and did some landscapes on a cloudy day and found it was much easier to see what was going on with the controls in the program. hope that helps anyone, and thanks again for looking!

#1 is awesome. HDR really interest me a lot and I'm going to start experimenting with it myself.
