Nov 25, 2007 11:13 | #4 I think all three are fantastic. I can certainly tell that the truck shots are HDR, but it's subtle enough to add interest without being gaudy. Nice! Plus, you've inspired me to do some holiday light shots. ~ Clint :: Galleries

Nov 25, 2007 21:27 | #10 Hey guys, thanks for all the responces. as far a progams, i am using photomatix to do the merging and tone mapping and then photoshop for curves and some other minor adjustments. As far as tips on tone mapping all i can say is mess around with it A TON! it took me a long time to halfway understand what was happening when i would adjust certain things in photomatix, and there tutorial isn't too much help. All of these shots are 3 exposures +2 0 -2 and one other tip that helped me out was getting the right subject matter. i tried to do some indoor shots when i first got the program and was getting very frazled. then went and did some landscapes on a cloudy day and found it was much easier to see what was going on with the controls in the program. hope that helps anyone, and thanks again for looking!
