hello everyone i am in search of some sort of thin warm winter gloves that i can use with my camera. i can't take the gloves off every time i use the camera controls so i think i need gloves that have just my fingertips exposed. or perhaps warm gloves that have a thinner material at the finger tips. anyone know where I can find these? I am going to be taking skiing and snowboarding pictures in northern Vermont and i dont want my hands to suffer like they did last year.

Have a look in sports shops-shotgun shooters use gloves that allow you to turn back the fingers so you can feel the trigger.

I picked up a pair of these a few weeks ago. They are full finger gloves, but are working pretty well.

For short periods of exposure, I use shooting gloves. They are very thin, yet insulated, with Kangaroo skin. I got them at a Cabelas or Bass Pro Shop type of store.

Not great in the really cold temps, but baseball batting gloves allow your sense of touch to continue functioning.

I've got some Under Armour thin gloves. I think they were designed for running, but they have a great feel on the camera.

something like:

I use thin neoprene gloves by SSG for riding. I also carry a P & S when I ride. You can find them at many tack sellers.

I use these glove, which are police tactical gloves which have extra feel on your shooting finger and extra grip on the rest of the fingers. They are not extreme weather gloves, but do a good job.

Check on winter golf gloves. They provide easy movement since you need them to grip the golf club. Perfect for cameras also.

I bought those cheap stretchy gloves that cheerleaders usually wear. They're not real thick...just a simple cotton (and lycra I assume) so you don't want to be grabbing snowballs with 'em, but they allow access to my camera controls very easily.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

I bought a pair from BASS they're warm and quickly convert from all fingers covered to having the fingers open. Sorry no link

Try the Men's underwear section at Wal-Mart.

I got a pair of black gloves, pretty soft. Seem warm enough for decent cold. They have small rubber dots that allow you to hit all the buttons.

Best part, they were $6!
