I threw togther a small studio setup in my garage this weekend. Snapped this picture of a friend's future wife.
Used a single Lumedyne in a 48" softbox.

Hey, Peter, I'm wondering where you positioned the octabank for the shots of Brit. Looks like it might have been directly behind you and maybe up a little. I'm curious if you used any other lights or reflectors with the octabank. I might have to pick your brain about the PP. I have the same tools but obviously a lot less skill using them!

Cameras: 1DX, 1D4, 20D, 10D, S90, G2
Lenses: Canon 10-22mm, 16-35mm f2.8L II, 24-70mm f2.8L, 70-200mm f2.8L IS, 300mm f2.8L IS, 200mm f2L IS, 50mm f1.4, 50mm f1.2L, 85mm f1.2L, 1.4x TC, 2x TC, 500D macro, Zeiss 21mm
Lighting: 580EX, Elinchrom 600 RX's, D-Lite 4's, ABR800, 74" Eli Octa, 100cm/70cm DOs, Photoflex Medium Octa and reflectors, PW's, Lastolite Hilite, Newton Di400CR bracket

Not a shot of a girl ;-)a

A great shot none the less. Very nice recreation of natural light. What modifiers did you use?

Octabank is directly behind me as usual to get the huge catchlights and yes it was a little up to place catchlights directly in the center, which I find stops most viewers in their tracks. Also I like the "flat even" lighting for models without perfect features. Brit doesn't like her nose, shadows would've only enhanced it.

To get the pop, it's all pp. Posted more about it on her thread: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=962701

Those pictures are amazing! Thanks for sharing your pp process. I love it when fellow photographers are so willing to help others out.

Flickr does make the skin tones appear a lot warmer though.

Andre,
Very nice.
What are you using for a grid?
