Hi

If you know where the location I can download the Manual of the Quantum Turbo Battery, please let me know

I am using this battery with 550 EX but it requires to put the EnergySaver and 3 AA. I don't know why it requires that. Already check the http://www.qtm.com/home/manuals.html (external link)
But there is no Manual for QuantumTurbo (except for Turbo500 model: http://www.qtm.com/home/manuals/p120.htm (external link))

Thanks in advance!

I have the 550EX and the Quantum Turbo. There is no REQUIREMENT for the Energy Saver. Meaning you can put in 4 ALKALINE AAs and it should works fine.

I believe the EnergySaver, for the 550EX, it's the E2 (http://www.qtm.com/home/manuals/p298.htm (external link)) is used to give the AAs longer life.

Thanks for your replying.

Could you let me know how last long your 4 batteries are? Thanks again!

I don't know how long the ALKALINE AAs last with or without the EnergySaver.

Although Quantum does not recommend using NiCads rechargeables, that's what i put in mine.

Reason:
I don't always have a need to the Quantum, so I always have rechargeables NiCads in my 550EX. The only time I use the Quantum is for weddings, or when I need FULL power to my flash.

Quantum said that you get greater capacity when using Alkaline AAs, but I have never had the Quantum Turbo ran out of juice on me. The most I have shot during an event was around 300 shots where most were with flash. The Quantum Turbo was still at 75% capacity.
chances are, you'll run out of CF storage before the Quantum Turbo need a recharge.
