What a sad day in Washington DC for the loss of a great football player.

Dave

An amazing athlete whose life was ended much too soon...

prayers go out for his fiancee, 18month old daughter, family, friends, and the entire redskin organization

Beautiful shot Dave.

Your shot is remarkably like the one the AP ran. Kudos to you for a shot that captured a man that is only a memory now. I think coaches comments were very appropriate in this is a reminder to take full advantage of the day you have because you don't know what tomorrow will bring.

A real shame.... good thing there are images like these to teach the small child who their father was. A tragic loss for this family.

Sad, but I think it was someone involved in a love triangle or similar.

1)kitchen knife left on bed 8 days before murder

2)shot in groin late at night in "robbery attempt"

How does someone know which bed is his in that 800K size house, and if I am a burglar shooting someone in my escape attempt I wouldnt aim for the groin, I would aim at the chest...but thats just me....LOL

In a prone position shot from the foot of the bed... the difference between hitting the groin and hitting the head is just a couple of degrees in aim. You could be right, but I would not want to jump to conclusions.

Lived there for 6 years and still go back for Christmas and summer. I wasn't a fan of the Skins, but he was one of the players I did follow because I respected his dedication and work ethic.
He will be missed.

I was shocked at the news, it was all over the place. But as more details come out, the more we will realize just how tragic this was. Thanks for the posts. And Dave, thanks for starting this. Although, it has to be said, people die everyday, but he just had so much potential.
