I look forward to reading his reveiws but I not to worried about Rob's findings. Mine has worked well sense day one and has only improved with repair and upgrades along with my ability to use it properly.

What makes a guru a guru? :)

USE OF AI SERVO
Tracking has been a problem with me and with quite a number of users as found in the issues raised. I was searching the threads and found several back threads interesting to new users of the 1Dmk3 like me.

There are cn fn keys which actually control the AF tracking when using this mode.
An interesting and informative reading can be found below.

Bear in mind that there have been a few firmare updates since this was originally written. I do not know if anything has changed in the firmware that would obviate these suggestions.

Does anyone out there know?

Hi there Don,

I think you will find if you look at the site it has been updated to include firmware 123, and if he felt that changed his previous findings etc.

Mark

Thanks! Indeed he has! I should have read through it before making a comment. I found this site to be quite valuable from the start!

Went to the Bon Odori - an annual Japanese Event in our local scene. Set at ASA2500 with 1/250s and flash set at high speed sync to fill in, the frontal light dd not dominate with its harsh light. No noise and pic is taken as if in full daylight setting.
