ummm... I don't think I remember this story... DO TELL!

At the NW Trek, there was a baby wolverine. He had climbed up on one of the trees in his exhibit and was going after his hind left foot. Seriously going after it. Just the left foot, not the right, the left. He would get himself into a state, climb down, drink some water, then go back up into the tree to continue the Battle of the Foot. It was hilarious.

Okay - cool. I was thinking that you accidentally shot 100 photos of just the foot of the Wolverine... :-D

no, it's just that the light was really low and we were trying to capture fang action...(at f22 that's pretty hard ) so there were a lot of shots  David and I were just busting up and Dan was on the other side taking shots of otters...it was really funny.

So my rant about ProPhoto....

It took me 35 minutes of driving around that area to find a parking spot... 35 minutes!!!!! It only took 50 to get from Newberg to there!

So, I am already ticked off at how long it took, then there was a 5-block walk in the rain to the store. I get to the store and I am looking at the flash brackets - ooooh... no prices... so I stand in line and get a price on the one I like...

Okay, cool.

Now, I am looking at the wireless flash slaves - which are behind the counter... I wait 10 minutes and someone finally helps me.

In the mean time. I hear one sales dude say that the Tokina 10-17 (or 11-17...) is a better, higher quality lens than the Canon 10-22... The customer asked about USM focus verus the Tokina and the guy said that the 10-22 didn't have USM... so the guy bought the Tokina (my personal experience with a Tokina lens is not to buy another...)

So - the guy on my other side is looking at a USED Nikon D70 and he asks about the longevity of the camera. The sales drone said that it has a 300K shutter life... UMMM!!! I think not!

So they finally get to me, and are completely not helpful and then some guy stands behind me with a film wash bin and the guy helping me leaves me to talk to this guy... what? I am about to maybe spend over $500 with your company and you are helping some guy with a $25 used bin?

So I just walk away, I don't get the wireless slaves - I get the bracket and leave - never to return...

On another note - on the way there I heard a commercial from Ritz cameras on the radio and the guy said that Ritz will have the lowest prices anyday... RIGHT!!! They are usually $100+ more than B&H or Adorama.

OK, so no more powdered eggs and soy in your coffee. It's having an adverse reaction to your system. ;)

Heh, I would rather pay for 2nd-day or even next-day (depending on product) from B&H before buying from ProPhoto again....

I have decided the time has come for me to give back to the community some benefit and utility I have received over the years.
So in my habitually modest way, I/ve started my payback endeavour with a couple of small threads on the lens forum.

Damn! And I was hoping for a peaceful weekend to finish up a calendar.
