I know that Lisa's been struggling with the whole MkIII issue and the advent of the Nikon D3. I thought it was just a phase. Something she would grow out of. I just went in to show her something on her computer, and lo and behold, she's on eBay looking at hasselblads.

I'm doomed.

I would venture to say so. Just don't show her Jothefish's shots of her holding the digital hasselblads.

I've seen them already. I wonder how real people actually use a hassy irl. It seems so awkwardly designed, especially to carry around...

Great...now Riley's gonna be singing "I'm too sexy for my pants...to sexy for my pants..."

TBH, I could never pull off tiger striped pants. Maybe in my body building days!

I'll give him leeway. They could have been from the mountain, and I mentioned they were of my best friend's family. He wouldn't have know she lives over there (and happens to be Bailey's best friend).

And I don't want to provoke some size 15s...:lol:

It all makes sense now! I didn't realize you had been in Redmond all week.

Can anyone explain the weird lines on my pants?! (I think it might be something from the flash.. but I dunno)

They are awkwardly designed. When my wife was in college...she used a medium format film one for her sport portrait shots with Lifetouch....we took a roll of shots with it one day....and still have not developed the roll.

You know it's kind of funny you say that because when I was down in Washington D.C. during the peak of the cherry blossoms, I actually saw a lady with a Digital Hassy with a Gitzo tripod taking a photo of the National Monument. It was very bulky but she was able to carry it around like DSLR.

Sori.:) The 1Ds MK III is much cheaper than the Hassy and the 21 MP count is just about on par with the lower H2D model which is $24k. ;)

I wonder how much of the price is the name? I saw some of Jo's shots and while they are very nice, they don't seem really different (except the exotic locations) from the other shots I see around here. Maybe the difference is in the big prints.

and to be completely honest, I'm not selling my M3 (I think it'll be fine, fixed) and I'm not going nikon, hasselblad or Leica (or anything else), not upgrading the M3 to the DS...not anything.

I'm just tired and browsing. I don't have too many shopping interests except camera gear and tanzanite....so I just like to look.

and speaking of being tired...I think I'll say g'night Gracie ;)
