yea it's called bad fashion :) get some ck or af or something

i'll 2nd that. I still don't know if I have any focusing issues tho with moving subjects that some of the 40D users think they have.

I was shooting f/2.0 and going for the bokeh this morning and no problems here.. it's either operator error or not selecting the correct focus point because I simply did not have time. Just run AI Servo, all points enabled, shoot a lot and hope for the best because DOF is so thin and my subject was jumping all around :)

Great...now Riley's gonna be singing "I'm too sexy for my pants...to sexy for my pants..."

 I hope not!

I've seen them already. I wonder how real people actually use a hassy irl. It seems so awkwardly designed, especially to carry around...

Why don't you buy one and let us know?

Canon said they had to adjust some part of my AF -- from an electrical side. So there was an issue with my 40D but it is fixed...

It isn't as bad as it seems. We had a couple guys shoot some magazine ads in our pumpkins one year and he was using a H1 with a film back. Didn't seem any more awkward than a DSLR.

They've all gone to bed. The lucky ones of us who stayed up and saw that are going to have much better dreams.

Serves them right.

They're $1199 at B&H & Amazon.

What a difference a day makes...they're up to $1299 at both places today. That's 100 bucks in 1 day. What's up with that?

I guess. I just wish I understood what prompted the drop/rise.

It seems like once they start to drop they wouldn't go back up.

Guess you guys missed the big announcement.

The new Nikons are so good, Canon has decided to give up. No new models, ever. They're just going to sell off what they have for whatever they can get, and go into the screen door business.

It's all over.:(:(:(

Good to know.

That explains why Permie has been threatening to jump ship. Her Mk III is now completely worthless.
