Sorta, in a way. 215 frames fired, 65 keepers. I was using high speed drive to ensure a few more keepers or to catch that elusive expression. Animals don't wait for you, especially 1 year old dogs!
I bought the 40D for fps.. might as well use the fps 
The 60 macro headshots turned out fantastic. 28 is better for full body or if you are sitting almost on top of the dog. I'm wondering about the 50/1.4 right now....

It isn't as bad as it seems. We had a couple guys shoot some magazine ads in our pumpkins one year and he was using a H1 with a film back. Didn't seem any more awkward than a DSLR.
The Contax 645AF I worked with had the prism finder and handgrip on the side. Felt very SLR-ish, I would say like a slightly boxier version of my former 1D cameras. I held and worked it just like I would a SLR with large lens.
The Pentax 645 is also similar.
