Mark: Nice Moon shots! Once the cloud cover is gone, I'll try the Live View for a Moon shot, too.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh......time for my annual Christmas flood....no idea what happened...but awoke to a funny noise coming from my living room....my new aquarium split and dumped water all over the place....just finished mopping up....waiting for the store to open so I can get on with the process of saving the contents...they are not real fond of the big plastic buckets they are forced into for now.

Nice moon Mark.

That sucks, Dan. I hope it was under warranty. Personally, I'd be mad as hell.

No it doesn't. At least you heard the noise. I'd probably have never heard it myself. The dogs would have had to get me up for it!

At least you've been able to save the fishes. Hadn't you heard it, I'm not sure they would still be alive...

Can anyone explain the weird lines on my pants?! (I think it might be something from the flash.. but I dunno)

Does it show up on the original? Sometimes a Moire pattern will show up on images reduced to an odd percentage (NO coffee yet so I can't find words)-- example - the moire shows up at 66% but not at 50% original size.
Dang. ask Wool! he can explain it in a human language.

You two are cuties!

76 gallons...the good news....if you can call it that...is that the crack is near the top of the tank...probably only leaked 10-15 gallons...all of which went into the wall and down to the basement.

You 'spalined it good Wucy! Moire can often be eliminated by just resizing the image to a slightly different size.

The other good news...the humidity in the house right now is about 30%....so things are drying out very fast....

Small consolation.

Sorry to hear about the tank failure.. warranties don't clean up the mess either, I would be mad too!

Hope you get everything sorted soon and the fish find new (acceptable) accomodation quickly.
