Marnin' y'all...
It isn't as bad as it seems. We had a couple guys shoot some magazine ads in our pumpkins one year and he was using a H1 with a film back. Didn't seem any more awkward than a DSLR.
I have an old Mamiya 645J that came with the waist level viewfinder. It had it's advantages, but was awkward to use because the image was backwards in the viewfinder. I added a grip/motor drive and a prisim viewfinder with a built-in meter to it and it was much easier to use.
Here's what it looks like without the drive and prisim finder:

And with the drive and finder...

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh......time for my annual Christmas flood....no idea what happened...but awoke to a funny noise coming from my living room....my new aquarium split and dumped water all over the place....just finished mopping up....waiting for the store to open so I can get on with the process of saving the contents...they are not real fond of the big plastic buckets they are forced into for now.
Sounds like you and I had similar days... mine started with the dog not wanting to eat and the cats fighting each other and me to get to the dog's food. Then I was doing laundry and the washing machine quit right in the middle of a load. Just flat died... Next, while putting away the laundry the front of one of the drawers on the dresser fell off. Needless to say, by the time Heather got home from work I was living up to my title...
I hope today is better. We have tickets to the Poinsettia Bowl being played here tonight. We're going to go watch Navy beat Utah...

Always having a dog or two, plus a very active four year old was a little tough on their carpeting. They recently tore out all the flooring on the first floor of their house and redid the whole level with a beautiful hardwood floor. Less than a week after finishing, while they were out of town for the weekend, their fridge died and leaked water all over the kitchen floor, causing some of it to warp.
