A couple of rather unique images there...I vote for splitting the difference...take the crop from #2 and the processing from #1....you got a winner!:D

this one was easy to do (just a crop and save)

Wow...guess it pays to own a high end tank...the manufacturer had a new tank here at a little after 5:30....we just finished the big swap....now if everyone survives the trauma...I'll be a happy camper.

Great news!

They shipped the tank from Wisconsin...and got it here same day....I'm impressed. Now if my hardwood floors survive...

Very nice -- especially this time of year.

I have a suspicion that my mom may have got one of those FisherPrice Cameras for my almost two year old. Might be the only way she gets to hold on to her own camera this year -- He's such a button pusher.

I really like seeing the perspective my oldest has of the world -- a two year old's perspective ought to be a riot.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

OK, not many people here. Probably out goofing off, taking pics, putting fishies back into their tanks, lurking in the Lens Forums or voting on the shots for Volume 2. Guess now is a good time to make a scheduling announcement for the TR's.

After tomorrow, I'm going to take the next week off. It's the holidays, got family coming and, well, I want to be lazy. I'll start posting again on December 31st, which is the following Monday. For the following two or three weeks, we'll close out the Sneaux Days series. When we do wrap that up, I'm going to take an additional two weeks off.

I know, I know, I'm a slacker and sub-human.

The reason I'm taking two weeks off is so that I can get a head start on the next series, which is a spoof on the Star Wars movies; the older and better trilogy, in my near worthless opinion. The plan is to draw as many, if not all of the series' strips in that two week span.

The reason for that is because I plan on launching another, more ambitious TR project at the same time. While the Star Wars strips will still be along the same vein as all other TR's in the past, sorta funny, one strip a day, posted in the evening Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, another series will going on.

This other series will be posted only once a week, may have another separate section in the TR site and will be nothing like the current series.

Yeah, yeah, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." I know. This new series will be reminiscent of the old Pulp Fictions of the 1930's with Bogart in the Maltese Falcon or the Thin Man movies. Dark alleys, long shadows, damsels in distress and no one's completely innocent.

In fact, some of the most regular characters in the TR strips will take on villainous roles, be down right mean or even psychotic. There will be some humor (I can't seem to get away from that), but overall, it's strongly set in the "Film Noir" genre. It's not going to be gruesome or overtly violent, but it's going to be definitely a "PG" rating.

I have already conferred with the TR cast as I didn't want to begin something this radical with their characters without first letting them into the "loop", and they all seemed very interested in the twist.

Some have asked why I'm doing this gear shift. Well, to be honest, I want to see if I can do it. This kind of "Graphic Novel" art is something I've never done before, and it's something that's very involved. I just wanted to give it a shot. The other reason is because I really like the plot that's evolved for this specific story. Lots of twists and turns and where the really bad guys "get it" in the end. Where the not so bad guys walk off in the end with no guilt for the deeds done. My only hope is to be able to draw the story half as well as I see it in my head.

This strip won't be posted on POTN, but only on the TR site that Scott has so graciously set up for us. The other, standard, "Film Blanc" version of TR, will continue to be posted on both the RRTP and the TPBM chat threads.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Thank you for your patience.

~Pirate.

Cap'n -- anything you do with the TRs is perfectly alright with me. They're a bonus. They're a gift. As much as we might whine when we don't see a new TR, we all realize that we're fortunate to have someone with your talents sharing what you love doing with us.

Just don't leave me hanging on that last downhill -- I want to see somebody face plant before the weekend. :D
