Hey Lisa!!

What are you using for instant messaging on your mac? I've got messenger here, but it's lost all the groupings I had from my windows messenger. Now they're all lumped together and I don't like it so much.

Currently building an image of my Vaio machine so I can still run my old computer as well.

amsn is good

well, I'm using (shoot, I never IM so I had to go figure out the program because I couldn't remember what I was using) ichat. I like it. It's video if you want to use it. I keep threatening Wu that I want to ichat with the camera but she's never taken me up on it

Tif was saying last night that she was hoping you'd take some shots of her. So you'd have a chance then!

I wonder if the remotes would work on the G9. Seems like a bit of overkill but if I have time I could test it.

If they fire the flash, I don't know why they wouldn't fire the remotes.

I know, it's beautiful outside. And I'm busy. I've got to get the tree up today.

I just re-read my quote, what I meant to say (and how I think you read it) is that I don't know why it wouldn't fire the remotes.

lol...we put a few ornaments on the tree last night...it looked so bad bare. It's not lovely now but we had to leave space for the cats to climb.

and yes, that was how I read it.

alas, I need to go clean. Kids will be here today (WOO HOO!!) and really, it should be nice so I don't have to think about doing stuff while they are here. Also, I need to make up a grocery list for the holiday dinners because husband has kindly offered to shop for them tomorrow morning. (seriously, how nice is that...I HATE shopping and HATE shopping near a holiday even more)

I don't know if you're talking about slave/remote as in the EX series flash, but if it triggers the flash (it does), the flash will trigger the slaves. The camera has nothing to do with it.

oh okay. Thanks Chief. (I'm a flash ignoramus...so I never take anything for granted).

Hey Chief, that M3 thread is so long, I cannot find anything in it. Is there a special site or something for tracking the M3's repair progress? And do you have the link?

One thing the military does right is the 24-hour clock. I honestly can't think of a single reasonable argument in favor of breaking the day into two 12-hour halves.

Needless confusion.

Agreed... And I'm one of those people who feels the US should have adopted the metric system decades ago. I hated having two sets of tools, one for my Japanese cars and motorcycles and another for work...

That's nice. I've got to do some grocery shopping too. I try to go really early or really late during this time of year. Oh, and did I mention the parking lot formerly known as Lancaster Drive? Um, yeah, not a place to be the next 4 days.

It's http://www.usa.canon.com …?act=OnlineTrackSearchAct (external link)

You'll need your repair number and zip code.

Unfortunately, I haven't hear of anyone getting accurate information from this site. Mine still says 'Repairs Completed. You will receive your camera within 4 business days. Not shipped yet. (I'm paraphrasing). It's due here today. Go figure.

I called FedEx and told them I was expecting a shipment and didn't have the tracking number. They were able to verify it was on the way, although they wouldn't give me the tracking number.

is the repair number on something they've already sent me or do I have to call someone to get it? I'm bookmarking this post...

You'll have to call them. It doesn't appear on any of the paperwork they emailed you.

Actually, if the system was working the way it was supposed to, they should have emailed you the repair number, but I'm not aware of anyone getting theirs that way.
