I'm still awake. Attempting to find ideas for my mom, to gift shop for us. Since I cannot put "40D" on the list, I'm trying to find something interesting OUTSIDE of camera stuff...and having a hard time

I'll give you the same advice I always give this time of year....B&H gift cards are a very nice present for a photographer.

Guess you didn't see the wedding David shot earlier this year...Carhartts and John Deere hats would have been perfect attire.

yes it does. I am sure that if I was buying a camera now that nikon would be something I would seriously look at. some of the features for the price is better than canon.

as for your mother. give her a hug and tell her that you love her. Not much more is needed.

and then show her the presents you had lined up to give her that she isn't going to get any more.

yep even this kiwi can be mean

I hate giving people Christmas ideas. I like to just get together and enjoy one another. (I like to buy for them though ) but I hate saying "buy me X".

and yeah, if the D300 had been available when I first started, I'd seriously have considered Nikon.

and think how sad that would have been...you'd never have met me and your lives would have been considerably less weird!! ;)

Well, I've given some ideas. Now I'm off.

g'night strange fellows

Scotlet and Wurmen, good luck with the wedding! You'll do fine. Remember, DON'T PANIC (in large friendly letters on the cover)

I am like that. I don't care about the giving any more, apart from the giving time. that's the important part. time is short anyway got to make the most of it.
