Ooh, Lisa, that's TRULY CRAPTACULAR! I love it!! Did you do a bit of blur on it as well?

thanks :) No, it was weird actually. I'd used the 85 at 1.2 for that shot and so when I tonemapped it, it just came out like that. I almost didn't post it because of the background weirdness.

BTW, I've posted a few more gull shots in the bird section https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=414845

I don't want to post them all here (it would be too much), but I have to say there are a few I really like ;-)a

Morning everyone. The tree is almost lit and ornaments to follow.

i use Ornamotion motors on my tree (21 of them). They make the ornaments spin but they have to be strategically placed and it is time consuming. While I grumble today, tomorrow when everything is spinning and pretty, I'll be happy.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Just drink what you have in your hand and you'll be less grumbly ;-)a

We have the traveling version of the Vietnam Memorial Wall here this weekend so Skip and I are going out there this afternoon. We visited the original in Washington DC a number of years ago and couldn't believe how much it touched us emotionally.
