The 1600 shot is amazing, and the 3200 still keeps a LOT of detail. Wonderful test shots. Not the bright light, high shutter speed shots some post to test high-ISO.

I just walked into my dining room set the camera on a tripod and took the pics. Very straight forward with no forethought or planning.

i downloaded canon jpg sample a while ago and i think the image started to brake apart somewhere around 120 inched high at 300dpi. I am talking fine detail here viewed at 100%. This is a beast. you need at least 4 feet wide plotter to even start thinking about chalanging print quality.

What about us Mac Guys do I have tried to view the RAW files on my Safari and all I get is jarbled numbers and letters?

I get the JPEG files just fine but want to start seeing the RAW stuff.

Ross

When I downloaded it using right click it added the .txt on the end - rename the file removing the .txt eg "flowerexample_ISO1600.CR2" and then open in CS3

Did anyone else notice that Amazon has raised their price on the 1Ds pre-order twice, first to $8,999 and now to $9,499? And they still don't have it in:

I heard that the dealer cost on this camera was only $7,500 for cash buyers.
