Thank you shatal! Do you use yours often? What do you shoot with it? I will be using it mostly for sports.

What the heck are you still doing at work?? When I got that lens, I started clicking pics RIGHT away. It will be dark by the time you get home, so you'll have to wait 'till tomorrow!! Go now!!!

I use mine for LOTS of purposes. ... One of them is sports. My daughter runs track & cross-country. Shooting a moving (running really fast !!!) target is a snap with that lens. IS mode 2 is absolutely great for tracking/panning a moving subject. And it is tack sharp!!!

I've read and heard a lot about this lens; all positive. Use it well. Enjoy it.

Don't forget to share some photos, however.

Thanks guys! Unfortunitely I have to stay at work...yes it will be dark by the time I get home so I will just take some night pictures. I will be taking some hockey pics tomorrow for my boys game. I will post some by the end of the weekend.

No duck pictures here that's for sure...no offense to those who like to shoot birds.

I use my 70-200 quite a lot. It's a really sweet lens. You may find it too short for some situations with sports, but it's quite the performer nonetheless.

I was at work when I received the 30D. I was rostered control room duties for the day (work on your own answering phones/radios etc) - so that was great.

But when I got the 70-200 - I took a sicky! I shouldn't really be saying that since one of my supervisors is on this forum :)

OP:

Enjoy your toy, and best of luck
And don't forget to "GET THE DUCK!"

Isn't refusing to take a duck shot a bannable offence in the POTN Rules?
