Well I really wanted an Expodisc for balancing the White Balance.

While searching ebay for other things Ifound a small cheap alternative to the Expodisc. It is a plastic filter frame with a plastic dome to it. If it is not acuarate or cause other problems I can always replace it with a coffee filter like I read hear. I have only played with it since getting it in the last day or so. but I made three test shots.

All on the Programmed setting to correctly expose the frame

1st was a shot using fullly auto and Awb setting for a base image

2nd was an image using natual light with out flash, accident but show difference in lighting using the CWB setting

3rd was a correct exposure using the CWB setting. I have tried using the CWN setting previusly but to set it us had to set up a towel or in my case a foldiing reflector designed for setting WB. this is much easier. Just have to set te lens to MF and shoot through it. Remove select image and reset lens to AF if desired and shoot away.

Has any one cehecked the accuracy of these against the expo?disc

I have not tried it, but "David John" on this forum has done a very nice DIY expodisc in this thread: https://photography-on-the.net …hlight=home+made+expodisc

It may work better then some ebay items? Worth a look if nothing else.
