René Damkot:
Thanks for the C&C.
The remark about the 1 bad vs. 10 good photos hit the mark.
Still working on the skin tones. I would love to have it ironed out with in the camera, and not have to touch it in PS.
(...almost forgot. The walls of the club were painted red, along with the red lighting. It was a nightmare)

Tonight was the final night of the bikini contest here in town...pics to follow! (might take a minute)

We are everywhere!!!!!!! lol, but yeah we watermark our picture for that exact purpose to get the exposure nationwide. The nature of this business just that exposure. Sucks your picture got used in that manner, but hopefully good will come of it, proposition him. Make sure he gives you photocredit and build a relationship with it, may give you some business down the road.

Lol, yes you are! Nice shots too... I should have looked closer they may have been some of yours.

As for "The Infringer"! He is changing his tone so I am going to be nice about it... since he is broke (which I really think he is, at least broke enough not to be able to afford me or pay even a small judgement) I'm going to try and work out a credit option with him signing a "model" release for me (covering him and his products) and guaranteeing VIP status at any of his future shoots untill he can afford to pay me.

Some late comments. Fast moving thread

If you shot Raw, the first should be recover-able. (the face)

Laser show or what?
Nice image.

Good points, but I must add that I've rarely gotten "real" buisness out of pictures ripped of the web...
(maybe twice).
Some people are cheap, and at some point a while back, I decided I don't want to be taken cheap :p
I now go after people using images without consent, and have them taken down. (Myspace or "fan" sites being an exception, allthough I tend to send a mail even then)

Lol, you know us nightclubbers!

The second pic had ALOT of PP lol. I was getting bored and so decided to fool around a bit with that pic, threw on the wings from an old pic I had taken and then threw a fractal type overlay over the whole thing. I tried to put fangs on but I am pretty new/bad at making teeth and after about 20 minutes I gave up lol. Of course they probably would of looked ok with the overlay over it but I didn't do that till the end (last minute decision).

I definately agree with the point about cheap as well as the web generating business for photogs. I have a bunch of pics up and no inquiries yet, but I do get asked while I am on the job and taking pics. Odd, they would rather approach me in person, having no idea what my work looks like, and ask if I do weddings, barmitszvahs, what have yous lol, then check my work out first and THEN talk to me lol.

As always nice pictures Rene... I also dig your watermark with the accented e lol.

Phew, much better! :-) I'm working on Poker Tournament pictures and NO ONE is as cute as the folks in these night club images ... particularly after 12 hours of getting their butts kicked at cards! :-) But the winner walked out with $30,000.

VSO resizer is your best friend.... make your logo in cs2, then make the background transparent, then save as .png, then apply watermark in VSO resizer... it works great

Whoa, I find this response pretty outrageous! You started out saying, "I need help!" Someone gives you exactly what you ask for and you jump down their throats because they didn't read your mind that you had a zillion restrictions on what you wanted. And I guess you also have no clue about the amount of help Rene has given to dozens or even hundreds of us who have asked similar questions. Yap'in, you owe an apology, dude!

Lol, I got em... I'll post a pic later... but when asked about weddings (so far 95 percent of the people talking to me) I say NO!!! lol Too many horror stories and I would need more practice doing actual weddings as it is a big responsibility.

I don't really think Rene said it to be intentionally mean Sean. He was more poking fun at you. I hear where you are coming from man cause if you are a regular in this thread we naturally should help each other out. Thinking this is more of a case of miscommunication. Hug it out!
