Hey you guys!

I am debating whether to get the Tamron 17-50 or the Sigma 17-70 to replace the kit lens on my Xti.

Any advice? Which one is better for nightclubbing purposes?

Thanks!

Yes, it will be the beginning of my tour with Deadmau5 so I will be at Ultra both days covering his sets. I have had a bunch of DJs ask about other gigs too, but i'm still not sure if i'm allowed to yet.

Really? I just got done reading some reviews and most of them point to the Tammy. Any particular reasons why you prefer the Sigma?

When I was looking the Tammy came out on top in all the reviews I saw. I got the Tammy for both the D300 and 50D. They focus plenty quick in the dark nightclubs and is a nice light lens to carry. Both of mine are very sharp and solid. Hate to get rid of mine but its FF for everything these days. Great lens for a cropper and not so pricey that you need to worry about it in a rough crowd.
