OK, Turbo, tell me again what your flash setup is? These are really nice.

P.S. I am supposed to get a call back from my Tucson guy today but I'm not holding my breath ... it could be another week, sigh.

i use a 430ex with teh head pointing straight up for bounce. But i utilize my flash bracket to position the light src anywhere i want. Such as from the number 3 photo, i positions it about 30 degrees from teh portrait orientation, and then used my hand as a bounce card to angle the light towards the subject more. Sounds complicated, but i swear there is a method to my madness. :) Dwight i would like to speak to you on how you got started doing entertainment photography, i want to get into it, but really hard to get my foot in teh door

PS: holy bejesus i just saw your gear list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need a picture or two of you taking pictures! You can read about how I got into this nonsense over at https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=63580 and even ask questions. If you still want to chat offline then PM me Yes, it is a nice gear list and there's more related things and more things always coming as I re-invest all my photography income in new equipment. Just remember that my success came almost exactly as my heart disease got out of hand ... but I still expect to live another 20 years!

Sometimes ill even turn the cam upside down so i can get the flash wherever i want. but thats for really bad lighting problems. where i absolutley have to have the flash come from that direction.

Oh, man, didn't mean for you to burn your hand! BTW, I now have a link in my .sig that will lead you off on a long read or two about me. If I drive out to Tucson (assuming it is still on) maybe I should stop off for a meal or coffee with you, eh?

Anytime Dwight i would love to just sit and talk with you, you're a wealth of knowledge online, i can only imagine what i could learn from you sitting and drinking coffee. :)

oddly enough people always ask me why i shoot like that. and other photogs go, what the?? until they see the pictures and go how did you do that lol

Yup, we've previously had discussions in here about bouncing off shirts, girlfriends, and other stuff but seeing it is where it's at! I personally have tried hand holding with the off-camera cord and just very recently got an ST-E2 so I am trying a few different things including two flashes. The big problem I have at the casino is that the walls are draped and the ceiling is about 30' so bouncing isn't much of an option. I should note I don't do this for the concerts but for the VIP players at special events. But I'd like to try some club shooting.
