night club photos (NWS)

Hey everyone, yesterday was my first official attempt to night club photography, had some wonderful time taking these shots. What you think about them? Would be nice to hear some opinions, because Im just a novice here, but Im looking forward to go deep with this thing because it rocks me so hard and im so into it, that I would give away anything but not the chance to take photos at nightclubs.

Blooming awsome pics mate well done. What lens and flash u used? Camera settings?

Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 on 5d body + 430EX II + ST-E2 transmitter (on some of the pics)

Camera settings was something like:
30-40 shutter
4 aperture
400,800 ISO
all shot in manual, flash ETTL -1/3 expo compesation, 2nd shutter sync.

curious - who shoots exclusively in RAW here?

I shoot in Jpeg, in Manual with 'bulb' setting on and ETTL on flash.

I know we've asked the question before but I wonder if anyone's changed. I used to always shoot in JPG, starting in Sept 09 I started shooting only in RAW. The main reason was, I got a new computer so it's easier to work with the added step of RAW conversion. Another reason was because I have some hot pixels (red dots) that RAW auto-corrects. In JPG I would have to go through and fix those myself.

I shoot in Jpeg.

I don't really edit my photos, so don't feel the need to shoot in RAW, I'm quite happy with what I take, Even the DJ thinks so!

After a long month's vacation, I am back to shooting full time. I am booked solid for the rest of this month and the next and possibly will be headed to Club Space for WMC. Here are some photos from last night at my other home club, Jackson's.

Me. I didn't invest in good glass and a body to cripple it.

Storage is cheap and any decent Mac can chew on the RAW files at speed these days.

Me, too, and I don't even have Mac! LOL.

For nightlife/private events, I stick with JPG.

If speed is of the essence, RAW + JPG is nice.

choNy, if you have the kit in your sig, why hobble it with JPG only?
