Just yesterday. My second time shooting. First time was alright, second time, way way better. I pick up fast. :)
First time I was shooting straight, the guy I was helping out, suggested me to turn the camera sideways for a better club effect, so this time I tried that out.

I also tried out my 10-20 wide. I like it more than my 18-50 F/2.8.
I can get closer to people to really capture their "moment" up close.
It focuses faster than the standard non-HSM motor anyway.

You're doing a great job for your second go! However you don't want to tilt the camera for every shot, at least not the same way - hopefully you'll see looking through those ones they look a bit samey :)

You'll certainly want to have the large groups horizontal unless you want to draw emphasis to one side (the lower side normally draws the eye as you get more of the person). I tend to rarely tilt but if I do it's only for 2 people shots normally.

And watch the ceiling on your 4th shot, you probably would of wanted to crop it tighter on the guys eliminating the pretty empty top and right hand sides of the image (same for piccy no 2). My opinion anyway, hope it's helpful!

Yep. I realized that it was getting annoying, tilting for every.. single.. shot.. as I was going through my set.
Thanks for your input! Now I know how much tilt, and when to tilt, after testing out all tilt.
Yup. The ceiling was relatively low and white, as I hoped for higher and black.

They look like they've been done on one of those throwaway cameras!

Hey, that guy is a PROFESSIONAL photographer. He knows how to work that disposable Kodak he got at the supermarket :)

Not doing too much between touring since the club scene is completey changing around in LA, so anyway here are pics from Infected Mushroom w/ Matisyahu and ATB last night. Not as good as the Kaskade ones, the production was a billion times better for that (better lighting and no horrible placement of two smoke machines that met between the DJ and crowd).

IM live are epic - such a shame I only covered them when I was a rookie, I really want better pictures of them!

Shot at Sevillas in RIVERSIDE...at the ROCKSTAR event. Dj Irene was the guest/main dj. I have never had the pleasure of hearing her spin...but i have to say i was totally blown away by her set. Only bad thing was..there was so much stuff on the stage, it was difficult for any of the photographers to get any decent pics. Unless it was from the back side, that was to close to get anything of worthy. Anyhow here are some samples =]
