Hey there, I'm really new to this but wanted to upgrade my kit lens for something sharper and more suitable for this environment and there are SO many mixed reviews, my budget is around 500 and I have a T2i and a 430 exii, I was thinking the tamron 17-50mm 2.8. Here's a review http://www.the-digital-picture.com/R...ns-Review.aspx (external link). Thanks for any help!

I have the Tamron 17-50 2.8 VC and love it. Works great in low light and has been flawless on both the 40D and 7D. It has become my walk around lense for the past few months.

I just saw that Deadmau5 is coming to St. John's, NL - my hometown - this summer. Anyone going to be here with them?

I have the regular (Non-VC) Tamron 17-50 and after 6 months or so, had to send it out to be repaired. Having front focusing issues with it. It is now over at Tamron getting fixed. Hopefully you can get a good copy;)

with the kind of day ive been having, i dont even feel like thinking about trying to **** at them....

and what I'm saying is, it is likely to be a waste of your time and effort. they have been doing it for years and obviously don't give a ****. so unless you are gonna sue them, I doubt they will take you seriously.

I have an interesting question i feel, that hasn't been asked or talked about.
What kind of Bag(s) do you bring to a gig?
I've had a couple problems where i had a bag, that didnt really enable me to carry it around with me, and i would put it down by the dj booth etc. I come back...and all the sudden its moved, or its un-zipped. Obviously making me very weary.

What works for you guys?

I just ordered this one

Thought it was a pretty good choice...

Very nice, i had a Backpack one too, but i really didnt like it. Plus at the clubs, its kinda tacky having a big backpack lol. I wanted something that gave me mobility and freedom within the club. usually i have the following in my pockets;

Inhaler
Business cards (back pocket)
Wallet
Batteries
More business cards
Stickers
Phone
Altoid mints

Sometimes a lens, depending on what im shooting...
So as you can see i look really bloated, and tacky having all kinds of crap in my pockets lol. Thought it would be helpful/cool/convenient to have it all in a bag on the side and just pop in and out when i needed it lol

Backpack looks pretty cool though ;)
have any of you seen the DEVIANT art backpack?
