My friend has asked me to shoot a event similar to a night club setting. I am using a 40d+17-55+430exII. I was wondering since bouncing the flash wont really be an option(red and black walls), what would you guys recommend I do? Should i just go bare flash head on or maybe a diffuser? I really dont know if you don't feel like spending more than $2 then DYI Light Sphere ...screw listing gear,it just sets up preconceived notions...but if you must link

With later cameras (not sure about your 350D) you can also transfer AF to the * button, so pressing the shutter doesn't activate AF. Mark.

I can't transfer the AF to the * button, but it works as long as I keep the shutter half depressed while I recompose. Unless its ALL WHITE i suggest u just pay the money and get the proper diffuser. WEB: www.MichaelHernsin.com
