Both stunning. #2, however, is EXTRA stunning...

Maybe pull the left corner down and in some on #1. A whole lot of (nice) sky and maybe too much to the left of whatever that is on the rocks. (Just MHO...)

Thanks FlyingPhotog, glad to hear you like my pics.....

Have they been successful in refloating?

Yes they did successfully refloat it without major environmental damage.
It took 3 attempts before they finally removed it.

It was there for nearly 3 weeks and became a very popular tourist attraction.

Thanks Mike,

It was a major news story around here for several weeks.

Would they be able to move it, etc

Great shots. The rainbow in #2 really sets that shot off. There have been other shots of the same ship here and the great majority were very good shots. It takes a good eye to take an ordinary object and turn it into something other than a journalistic piece. Ok, a large ship stuck on the shore isn't ordinary, but you know what I mean.

I'm glad you liked the shots Kevin, thankyou for the kind words.
I did see some of the previous posts of this ship and do agree with you that most were very good.
