Met up with some local photogs to photograph these boreal visitors. Quite numerous and tame. The challenge was to get one to sit still and in the open! Lot's of fun!

Lots of details in the birds and wonderful light.,,excellent poses and angles.. I think the first one is my favourite here and if it were mine I would investigate how the image looks with the oof branches in the top left and the tiny branch in the top right.. removed. I love the hairdo on the second waxwing shot. These are really pretty birds and very hard to get. The other bird is a fine shot too, it's quite the messy eater, but looks to be enjoying that fruit. That first shot should be sent in for publication to one of the bird magazines...I just love it....steve Steve
