Met up with some local photogs to photograph these boreal visitors. Quite numerous and tame. The challenge was to get one to sit still and in the open! Lot's of fun!

Vary Nice Marc! Geart captures with great colours. Sharp and full of beautiful detail. The pose, composition and lighting are all grand. I might have sharpened them a little more:lol:.

We get waxwings here in the UK, but I've never seen one. Both super pics.

Three escellent images here Marc with very clean BG (s) . Lots of details in the birds and wonderful light.,,excellent poses and angles.. I think the first one is my favourite here and if it were mine I would investigate how the image looks with the oof branches in the top left and the tiny branch in the top right.. removed. Excellent work!

PS...Ted and i saw a flock of at least 200 Bohemians at Fletcher yesterday...too high to shoot but what an impressive sight when they are all in the air..

Marc, that first shot has to be the best waxwing photo I've ever seen, just a fantastic capture! I love the hairdo on the second waxwing shot. These are really pretty birds and very hard to get. The other bird is a fine shot too, it's quite the messy eater, but looks to be enjoying that fruit. That first shot should be sent in for publication to one of the bird magazines...I just love it....steve

Stunning images. The first one is absolutely exquisite.

I've never seen a bohemian. We only get the Cedar Waxwings here.
