you need to shoot tighter and then consider a crop on top of that. more importantly, that background couldn't be more busy and distracting if you tried. You need to isolate the riders if you want to get the pop from those shots you're looking for.

You'd have two good pictures, if you had filled picture with the riders. Now they look like two poor pictures of a shop front.
