This is my bud with some early morning fishing before the tournament next week. The starry sky and mist were created in PS. The starry sky was created as a test and I had to expand it to fit this pictured. I am interested in what you think of the end result. It's supposed to look just the other side of reality.

I think you've done a great job with the effect.

I'm having trouble finding the real Subject in this image, though. Is it the colour of the sunset, stars in the sky, mist, or the fisherman? To me, they all seem to be competing with each other. Just my 2cents. ;)

Also, the mist needs to match the perspective. It looks as though you used the same size brush to paint both the foreground mist and background mist. Use the trees in the background to get a feel for the proper brush size to use in that area around the horizon. In doing so, the result will look more like a "blanket" of mist over the water (a more 3-dimensional look) :)
