Dec 03, 2007 17:59 | #7 hey, i go to a lot of HIN's on the east coast...i was wondering how i can take better shots like yours of the models. what shutter speeds and such do u use? im about to buy a slave flash also, so that should help out, right? t5i with kit lens, Canon Nifty Fifty, Sigma 530 super, Nikon SB-24(2), Canon 40mm f2.8, Canon 28-135 IS, Tokina 11-16mm f2.8, Canon 70-200 f2.8

Yes flash is necessary. Use manual settings, at least 400 ISO, and practice, practice, practice at home using different settings and try to duplicate the distance you will be to your models with little light. Aloha,

Those shows are horrible to shoot without a flash. 40D
