So I've yet to jump on the Lightroom bandwagon and just recently decided to do some editing with it as I've heard some really good things about it. This is my first real edit with it. I used a preset that I found and made some tweaks to it, but I pretty much liked how it turned out.

C&C welcome.

I really like the results of the edit. Skin is peachy and a bit blown out in the face,it is more realistic in the open area of the neck and below. But lighting effect is warm and engaging to the eye. For my taste I would move the subject a little farther away from the BG to smooth the wrinkles. But that may not ave been your intention. Your really on the right path.

Practice, practice, and practice some more, and when you think you have got it right, start over.

I think you have done a great job.
May be a little better if her shoulders were turned just a little.
Also as jtull01 mentioned, pull her away from the background.

it's a little centred/square for me, but overall a good shot. I've not been able to get the hang of using the Lightroom presets yet. Still exporting and editing with PSP for any kind of "effect". I think a slight sharpen/dodge(really slight or it will look off with the aged look) on the eyes would top it off.

Thanks for the comments guys. This was very impromptu as I was actually doing some shots of my daughter and while she was changing my wife jumped in for a few quick shots. Overall I like how it turned out. I learn every time I shoot and it's always great to hear what other people think and see.

Mandy Moore look a like?

Anyways, great work! Do me a favor and do more impromptu's! The black top definitely helped bring out her incredible eyes. Lightroom also has this spot removal function that can remove the dots on her chest (if you want).

So how about the actual pictures of the kids? How'd those ones go mate?

Nice job with it.. It is very good for being impromptu... :)

Hope you don't mind. I gave it a tweak seeing as I'm housebound and have nothing better to do. Might have over done the eyes a bit.
