I'll jump in real quick - I had an '05 for over four years, and they were probably the happiest car years of my life :D I still compare my '11 to it almost every day. Don't get me wrong, the '11 is outrageously good, but I miss the rawness and racket from my '05. It had the classic Scooby rattle going  I had foam shoved everywhere, however, in terms of reliability and fun, it's an unbeatable car. I averaged 23.5-ish while driving 100mph cross-country several times, the car started on a dime whether it was at sea level in the middle of a Chicago winter or at 10,000ft in the mountains, and I never ever doubted it. Brilliant little thing.

It's weird for me to see someone calling an 05 an old classic... I thought when I got my 98 w/blown engine I had a gem of cutting edge technology... compared to my 89 suby..

yea im looking at an 05 w/ around 100k for about $15k. 23.5 mpg @ 100mph?? that is amazing. i really need a car with better gas mileage my 01 f-150, which is an absolute tank, guzzles gas like a tank. thanks for your knowledge :)

That one isn't mine, it was at the drag strip. The car was actually really cool, the owner looked like he was on the 'scene' but there was a lot of custom work done on the car that he did, made it unique. His girl was shmokin hot too :)
