"Voulez vous couchez avec moi".
Asking someone to sleep with you in another language is sexual harrassment apparently. Oh wait, it's just a song title!
But it gets better. The person who laid the complaint was NOT the person the comment was directed at..

Interesting... the person who complained may have been insulted that you didn't ask her:p

Well, I only got out the shower about 30 mins ago. Rolled out of bed mid afternon. If anyone needs a recipe for lethal vodka smoothies, I'm your man. My head has only just stopped throbbing. 8)

Cheers, Dave.

Why would we want a headache like that ;). The smoothies sound good, do I remember you said they were strawberry with vodka?

Yep strawberry, a it of banana, some special ingredients, vodka and ice cream! And tbh the headache is just me, I get a headache looking at vodka. The rest of them just 'enjoyed' the stuff then got up fairly OK.

Cheers, Dave.

Chris I only have 1 requirement for the trip.

To play in the snow. The rest will be a bonus. I did like tags "Ice" photos

Up the west coast in the glaciers. I think Shrimper got some goodies from there as well. It's a wicked trip round the SI and one I shall miss doing. Unless....I feel a plan hatching...'ROAD TRIP'.

I have tried a few different settings, shooting in raw, this was taken at iso100, f/6 and 1/200 using autofocus so to me it should be nice and sharp!

I have taken about 150 and none have come close to sharp.

The image below is a 100% crop and absolutely no PP and saved for web at 60% compression jpg, but hasnt altered too much at all, the muddy appearance was part of the image not .jpg compression.

The camera was tripod mounted and I had IS off for this. Body is 400D.

Oh, sorry, 1 thing to note is I did have my Jessop 2x extender on it for this shot, but the ones I took lastnight without the extender where very similar.

ANY input greatly appreciated.

That would appear to be definitely not right. If you've got something you can think of that we can both shoot (road sign perhaps?), I'll post a pic taken with our sigma, which is supposed to be softer than the canon.

i guess now we know why the lens had such a low reserve, i suspect the seller was aware of the issues and judged repair would cost too much?

The Co-Ordinates are actually for AKL but I'm in L.A. atm... I just got back from a 5 day road trip to Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, Arizona Rock Crawling, Ensenada and also San Diego.

And I can tell ya it's pretty tiring, I think I'll wait till tomorrow to load up my shots, It's 11pm now Pacific Time and I just got in a few hours ago. It's pretty warm here also with a high of 22*c

anyway I hope all of you guys enjoyed your new years eve/morning

Hmm, I seriously hope its not the lens, I'll be going back to him if it is. He told me it was in perfect condition. We'll find out tomorrow. I'll ask Nzshrimper to bring his and we'll shoot the same thing and compare.

Think its more the carpenter than the tools... hope so anyway.
