Prefer the second one, slightly less orthadox, but the light's lovely with both, amazing sunset as you said. It wasn't that great here last night from what I saw of it... Cheers, Dave.

That is one nice cube of glass, a real nice match with the cropped sensor too. BTW new glass of choice at the moment looks like a EF24-104L... The 50F1.2 has a very special place. Low light at F1.2 it kicks a$$

I popped in there with the intention to purchase a lens, if the price and service was right, well after finally getting the attention of one of the shop assistants I rapidly got no where, he kept quoting trade prices which were almost 50% higher than AC, an example, the EF-S17-85, they had a second hand one for $750, which was a good deal as the new ones are $1150, didn't feel like sharing AC's price of $850 for a new one with them (BTW not my first choice in lens, but if it was a bargain I may have been interested). Just ended up staring at lens in their cabinets, no offer to try them etc. A completely opposite experience to what I had in town at Langwoods I think it was, he wanted me to try everything in their shop and was not happy until I had This had the unfortunate effect of me now having some formal introductions to some rather nice glass, a surprise for me was the EF50 /f1.2L which I had put in the 'wow big deal' basket. That is one nice cube of glass, a real nice match with the cropped sensor too.BTW new glass of choice at the moment looks like a EF24-104L... i was in there a couple of days ago.. i did see the 17 -85 for $750 - made me think of getting mine out the bag and selling to them ... © All rights given away
