Do you guys ever go on day trips with your partner and stuff or a walk or something and stop and take pics all the time? LOL my poor woman, she is actually really good, she just gets bored but never says anything, I feel bad sometimes ... just wondering how others handle it.

Well Sancho, to give you a bit of hope from your earlier shot you posted, taking a shot of a dark bird sitting on a dark fence against a dark background may not be the best of tests ;)

My efforts from last night.

I like them both. I think the island in background offsets centred rock in puddle a bit.

Cliff I also liked yours, a lot :)

Yup, we are actually in Taupo right now, left early this morning on an impulse, staying here tonight and probably home tomorrow or stay somewhere else tomorrow night. Im lucky my better half is extremely patient! In this case I do my photography and he is trout fishing so all good. *waves from Taupo*

Sancho, maybe she is ok with it or could take a mag or a book and let you wonder off while she chills out. As long as you make it up to her in some ways, she should be good, its part of being partners, give and take. ;) We do a lot of day trips together.

Happy New Year all!

A question for the techie.

Well I bot a WD portable hardrive, tried accessing it at parents PC - for somereason, the generic drive deosn't appear for the to be able to click and open the hard drive?!? I have used it at home before and never had any problems. The drivers are installed correctly and you can actually click the USB organiser thing and unplugg it? Somehow it just deosent show up as a generic hardrive I can click into?!? :P help!

Hey - It's 08!
Aren't I Captain Obvious ;)

Hope you all saw the turn of the year through with those that mattered, and how it was most important to y'all :D

Mine started off with a hiss and a roar. I may post Xena photos later.. but they aren't too good, hah

Business looks to be 99% go, and now not just running it, but partnership. Bonus!
Anyone need any Underfloor heating? ;)
Started the 1st job today

I have 8 babies.... monarch caterpillars, so far hatched, on my swan plants. Times like these I wish I had a macro

Best of luck in all your future 08 endeavours, folks!

The photos, again, looks stunning, from what I've seen. The beachy shots are awesome, and all the more reason to love NZ.

Tony, I like both of yours, but #1 stands out to me :D
