So that nikon flash would make a nice little off camera flash? Just want to start collecting some nice lighting gear on a budget. I have a 550ex as my main flash which does an awesome job for what I need. (so far) :)

Yep, I probalbly wouldn't go above $200.00 or so but they do seem to be popular with the strobist fraternity.

EDIT, changed the value, it really is quite a good flash.

Whilst you lot are talking about planning for the weekend GKPE stuff, it might also be worth mentioning that for those in and around the Wellington area, we're doing a meet up at Bruce's on Sat night too.

Just in case like...

Cheers, Dave.

well if it sold for around $60 it would be an awesome purchase... I'm keen but I think I'll save up for some pocketwizards instead.

Does anyone have those cheap ones on trademe? I'm thinking I might get a set of those now before the PWs

EDIT: I hope someones out there getting some shots of the moonrise tonight

Tony, if your arround tomorrow night, I wouldn't mind borrowing one of your lighting books, I'm picking up my last flash in Mangere Bridge & thought I would kill two birds with one stone.

Go to the library and borrow a book called: What Color Is Your Parachute. It goes into how to get the job you want. It is hard work but the rewards are there.

And then by the time you hit our age, assuming the planet still exists, you'll have all the confidence in the world but can't be bothered impressing people any more. :p
