weigh up the odds, if your current job comes up on top then stick with it! :) Look at this way, you have your foot in the door with your current employ already, who's to say you will be stuck in sales in the next 6months (I'm not saying you don't want to, but...). There could be openings in diff department which you maybe more insterested in. Maybe not in media, but perhaps in advertising or marketing :)

I wouldn't get the bamboo model after reading a few reviews. But if you do let me know what you think

do you really need such a large one? mine only cost about $140 from memory, and i got it from a retailer in christchurch; bank transfer & sent it within a couple of days. i could look them up if you want

edit: (it was tastech computers) check this pricespy page before you buy, theres cheaper places than the one you are ordering from

I have no idea what I need, not having used one before. And yeah, I actually used pricespy to get that link that I posted above. Good to hear some feedback about tastech, I'm always a little cagey about some of those pricespy retailers.

Well it's not exactly rocking in here at the moment is it? Had my first NZ haircut today, I feel 6 inches taller! Came out the door and sat on the beach for a while. This being soothed by the beaches thing is working well... I actually thought about taking a photo today.

Absolutely pouring outside currently though. :(

Chris if you're reading I did give Briar a shout last night so balls in her court. :)

Cheers, Dave.

try google maps

maps.google.com

you can enter in you start location and your finish location and it gives direction and travel time

Try maps.google.co.nz for us ;) Zooms in on good old NZ instead of that other place :p

I can't believe you guys. Why is it, that any time the slightest bit of effort is required for an outing, we make excuses?

Jeez. I readily drive a 300k round trip to go to the motorsport events at Timaru. Make an effort people, it's not *that* hard

You know you want to. Yup beaches can be quite calming places to be at times.

Cheers, Shane.

Im in, not sure about bringing my tallest short person/sherpa, he's got school following morning.

I don't know much about the Island other than the bits covered while at the above mentioned tall short persons school camp a couple of years ago. I presume that landing at the Goveners House jetty and wandering around the island, its a few k's to the old copper mine boiler & that stuff, depending upon tides, you may have to access it via the over-hill route, if the tide is right, access is a bit easier accross the foreshore bit.

What time are people thinking of staying too? Tony said that the sun-set may be worth it but from what vantage point? and timing of return ferry.

Very quiet (except for Matt & his continual vocational guidence questions).
