It's Baseball Season in Detroit

With the trade for Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis, I can't stop thinking that the 2008 baseball season is just around the corner. Winter go away!

Yep, Detroit's going to be tough this year. I'm missing baseball too, can't wait for ST to start. I shot the Tigers at White Sox at the end of the season last year, good time.

Detroit trading away some good prospects going for it all next year. Miggy is a good add to that lineup, man I still remember him as a kid playing in Utica. Not much english but great guy - he was the same type guy years later when I saw him in Spring Training AFTER becoming a superstar and got an updated portrait of him, but with better english.

The shot of Joel - well I don't like his backside that much, he's not a Cowboys cheerleader so just doesn't do much for me, and tell the 3rd baseman to put someon ointment on that itch.

Stealin the thread for a sec, here's young Miggy...and sorry about the bad quality scan from probably 8-9 years ago I somehow still had in a folder of old photo samples. His teammate there saw me sneak towards 3rd base to get a photo of him so started to make him laugh and then pointed over, so he looked quick and got this shot. He posed for one very similar after but another teammate was makin faces, darn you Pat Magnum!

Yeah, I hear ya. We had seats right behind the dugout on the 1st base side. Just our luck that there were no lefties pitching that night

Hope the Sox come back this year (at least for wild card). Both my kids live in Chicago, so I keep an eye on both teams. Gotta love Chicago. Great town
