Just playing around with my new f/1.4 50mm and Speedlite 430EX =]

My friend had this outfit and I knew of a big open lot with high grass that I thought would work well. I like how some of them turned out.

I edit pictures to how I like them, or as close as I can without getting overly frustrated. I notice that my colors are inconsistent, but is that really a bad thing?

C&C appreciated.

I think these last two well convey the irony that we did not see a single animal on our Safari. Oh well!

IMHO, A few framing tips:

Image 1: Maybe leave a little bit more room by the left elbow.
Image 2: Pretty good, might also try having the subject on the other side of the frame, since he's looking out right now.
Image 3: I suggest not chopping off his elbows.
Image 4: Crop down the top a little bit, it seems like a bit too much empty space up top.

These are all my amateur suggestions, try if you like; if you don't like them, don't worry about it! :)

I do like the subject though! Neat portraits!

EDIT: Didn't see those last couple of pictures...

Wow that first "No Animals Allowed" picture made me laugh hysterically! He looks so excited and happy in the first few and then he looks so miserable. I love it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will definitely be working on my framing. I'm not used to having to move my body around so much to get the shot. Haha, I keep finding myself reaching to the lens to zoom in and out, and then realize that I have no zoom! Oh well, still loving the lens! As my photography teacher once told me, it forces you to be more creative with your framing.

I'll say 1,2, and 6 are my faves. It looks like he's got some nice eyes perhaps you should try kicking up the saturation of them and maybe adding an unsharp mask to them, would really make them pop.

Good job w/ the goofy idea :)

heres a really quick edit for ya

Hahaha, what's Alamy?

www.alamy.com (external link) is a photo agency to sell your images. I'm sure there are others but they are one of the biggest and best.
